During the nine months of Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), mineral reserves in Iran’s Semnan province increased by 20 million tons, said Mohammad Forouhar, deputy head of the Semnan province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization for mining and mining industry affairs, Trend reports via Shata news agency.
During this period, 19 operating licenses were issued in the mining sector of the province, he noted.
The mines in the province operate with investments worth 148 billion rials (about $3.5 million), he said, adding that this made it possible to employ 110 people.
A total of 59 licenses were issued in the province for the nine months of this Iranian year, he noted. Of them, 26 licenses were issued for excavation and 14 licenses for exploration, he said.
There are 42 kinds of mining materials in this province. The proven reserves of the province are about 600 million tons, while the probable reserves are about 1 billion tons.
