Area of soybean crops to exceed one million hectares in Kazakhstan

The area of soybean seeds cultivation in Kazakhstan’s North Kazakhstan region is to increase up to one and a half million hectares, Trend reports via press office of the prime minister of Kazakhstan.

“Within the realization of 'North soybean’ program some 14,000 soybeat seeds were cultivated in North Kazakhstan region,” the statement said.

“The cultivated crops are to be used as seeds for the area of 150,000 ha,” reads the message.

“If some 125,000 ha of country’s area is being cultivated with soybean and the gross volume of the crops equals 250,000 tons then the following year the cultivation area can be doubled,” the report said.

“Therefore, following this scheme, the area of soybean cultivation can expand to 1.5 million ha in five years, the crop production of one ha can increase up to 25 quintals and the gross production can increase up to three million tons,” reads the message.

Furthermore, for the success of the planting season of 2019 the detailed preparatory work took place.
