European Investment Bank to allocate loan of $100 M to Uzbekistan

European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide Uzbekistan with loans in the amount of 100 million euros to finance investment projects for acquisition of energy-efficient equipment and introduction of energy-saving technologies, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

The amount of credit provided to one organization out of the loan from the EIB cannot exceed $ 10 million, and the amount of credit provided to industrial enterprises in one industry cannot exceed $ 30 million.

The European Investment Bank is the state financial institution of the European Union to finance the development of backward European regions in the form of long-term loans.

Created in 1958, the bank aims to provide loans for the construction and reconstruction of objects that are of interest to EU countries.

The authorized capital is formed from contributions of the participating countries and amounts to 232.393 billion euros.
