Uzbekistan Airways receives fifth Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner

On July 2, the fifth Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner of the Uzbekistan Airways landed at the Tashkent International Airport, Trend reports with reference to the press-service of the airways.

The aircraft performed a nonstop flight of 12.5 hours from Seattle.

The GEnx-1B turbofan jet engines with a low noise level and a minimum level of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere are installed on the new aircraft.

In addition, there is a satellite communications station on board for Internet access during the flight.

The new liner is designed to carry 246 passengers including 24 in business class and 222 in economy class.

Uzbekistan Airways became the first customer of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in Central Asia. The company began commercial operation in September 2016. Currently, this airliner operates flights to Europe, Asia, and America, from Alaska to New Zealand.

In 2020, in accordance with the Airways development plans, its fleet will have six aircraft of this type and will become the leading operator of such aircraft in CIS.
