Ceramic brick plant commissioned in Turkmenistan

A plant for the production of ceramic bricks with a capacity of one million bricks per year has been commissioned in Gokdepe district of Turkmenistan’s Ahal province, Trend reports referring to Business-Turkmenistan journal.

The plant, provided with Chinese equipment and built on a five-hectare-area, belongs to local Tirkesh company.

Earlier it was reported that another local company, Dag merjeni, commissioned a similar enterprise in the S. Turkmenbashi district of Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz province. Its capacity is two million bricks per year. The workshops have been also provided with the Chinese equipment.

The building materials industry is gaining momentum in Turkmenistan. A powerful construction cluster is being created in Ovadandepe industrial zone of the Gokdepe district of Ahal province.

"Turkmendemironumleri" enterprise producing metal-roll and fittings, a big gas concrete production plant, and marble and granite processing plant of "Turkmenmermer" CJSC producing facing materials from local natural stone, are operating in the Ahal province.

Among the products manufactured by the local construction enterprises are the facing stone, cement, bricks, non-metallic building materials, metal structures, plastic and fiberglass pipes.

Turkmenistan’s abundant natural resources allow to increase the production of expanded clay, the main component for which is mudstone, extracted at the Yagmansky field in the Balkan province.

The priority sphere of ​​the building materials industry is the production of well cement for the oil and gas industry as well as cement of various grades, including portland cement (sulfate-resistant cement), which is used in laying foundations, construction of bridge supports and hydraulic structures.
