By Fakhri Vakilov - Trend:
Air tickets to Uzbekistan may become cheaper by a third or more, said the Acting Chairman of the State Committee of Uzbekistan for the Development of Tourism Abdulaziz Akkulov at the presentation of the country's tourism potential in the capital of Russia's Tatarstan, Kazan, Trend reports citing Russian media.
“We hope that in the coming year we will be able to reduce the cost of tickets by 30-40 percent,” Akkulov said.
According to him, cheaper flights will be possible due to the emergence of local airlines and an increase in the number of foreign carriers.
“Previously, one organization controlled the airport and transportation, so we did not have the opportunity to reduce the cost of tickets,” he explained.
It should be noted that this summer Uzbekistan headed the top of foreign destinations for Kazan flights.
