Chinese company to supply ambulances to Uzbekistan

The Chinese Henan Costar Group Co Ltd. manufacturing company will supply Uzbekistan with 150 Ford resuscitation ambulances equipped with modern medical equipment, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

On Nov.8, 9 of these cars were delivered. By the end of the year, another 141 are planned to be delivered.

Cooperation with a Chinese company is carried out in the framework of the "The introduction of modern information and communication technologies in the activities of the ambulance service of the city of Tashkent" project, worth $11.9 million.

Modern surveillance cameras have been installed in these ambulance cars, which will create the provision of emergency medical personnel from a distance (from the call center) with the necessary consultations and relevant recommendations of doctors to provide assistance to seriously ill patients.

Moreover, Uzbekistan’s Scientific Center for Emergency Medicine is negotiating with Chinese partners to raise the necessary funds for the project “Implementation of modern information and communication technologies in the activities of the emergency medical service in all regions of Uzbekistan” in conjunction with Huawei worth $155 million.

With the establishment of modern call centers, a number of problems will be eliminated. Currently, work is underway on the repair of the call center of the of the Uzbekistan’s Scientific Center for Emergency Medicine. Also, the installation of modern information and communication technologies delivered by Henan Costar Group has come to an end.

An automated control system of the ambulance service is also being introduced in test mode by Scientific Center for Emergency Medicine; at this time, training is beginning for workers who will use this system. Starting December 1 of this year, the system will be fully launched in Tashkent city.

In addition, mobile applications are being developed on the next stage with which patients can directly send their requests from a tablet or phone.
