Azerbaijan’s Gilan Gabala Canning Factory will increase export potential of pomegranate juices this year, a source in the company told Trend.
“The main export products of the factory are pomegranate juices, the biggest part of which accounts for Russia,” the source noted. “Fruit purees and concentrates are partially exported. Last year, the company increased production volumes to 15-20 percent for export purposes. This year it is planned to expand the geography of exports to European markets. We received proposals for deliveries last year, so we plan to use them this year and establish contacts with partners in Europe. The company increased production of fruit juices “Jale” and “Zolotoy Sad”, for which there is the greatest demand in Azerbaijan and beyond.”
Juice prices in Azerbaijan vary within 1.6-2 manat ($1.1), export value is slightly more expensive, according to the source.
The products of the Gilan Gabala Canning Factory have a certificate of conformity issued by Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
The factory uses equipment of German, Turkish and Swiss production.
