BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 19

By Matanat Nasibova – Trend:

Goycay-Sud plant, a producer of dairy products and fruit juices located in Azerbaijan’s Goychay district, has reduced export volume of its products in January-February 2020 as compared to the same period of 2019, a source in the plant told Trend.

Meanwhile, the plant made several export supplies to different foreign markets during the first two months of last year.

"However, from the beginning of this year, the number of offers and demand in foreign markets for the plant products has significantly decreased. So, during two and a half months of 2020, the plant only twice exported its products to New Zealand, and the latest supplies worth $26,400 were made under a contract last week,” the source said.

“So far, we have not received other export offers from permanent clients in Russia, Belarus, Poland, and other countries of Eastern Europe. Last year, we failed to extend a contract with clients from the Baltic countries, due to unresolved financial issues of our clients,” it noted.

'Meanwhile, the enterprise’s capacity allows to increase the export potential. Currently, we are actively searching new sale markets for pomegranate juices, as well as increasing the production capacity of the enterprise. The plant intends to significantly increase the production of pomegranate juice, as well as apple juice in order to expand the export geography,” added the source.

Goycay-Sud plant operates at full capacity and has been provided with modern Swedish and Italian equipment.

The plant’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
