Industrial products prices drop in Kazakhstan

Prices of Kazakhstan’s industrial producers decreased by 19.5 percent over first five months of 2020 compared to Dec. 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Decrease of prices was observed in mining industry by 36 percent, in processing industry by 0.2 percent. Industrial goods decreased in price by 21.7 percent, while services of industrial nature increased by 2.9 percent.

Over the past month, prices of industrial producers on fuel oil decreased by 50.7 percent, oil by 46.7 percent, liquefied propane and butane by 23.2 percent, gasoline by 10.5 percent, diesel fuel by 6.8 percent. In turn, prices of metal ores were up by 12.3 percent, of natural gas by 5.3 percent, of coal by 1.3 percent.

Prices on zinc decreased by 16.7 percent, lead by 11.6 percent, aluminum by 9.4 percent, copper by 6.3 percent, ferrous metals rolling by 3.6 percent, whereas prices increase was observed on precious metals by 11.8 percent.

Increase in producer prices was observed on cereals by 9.6 percent, wheat flour by 8.8 percent, rye by 5.7 percent, livestock meat by 6.8 percent, poultry meat by 2.3 percent, tea by 6.4 percent, pasta by 5.5 percent, rice by 5.1 percent, sugar by 4.9 percent, dairy products by 3.4 percent, vegetable oil by 3 percent, and bread by 2.8 percent.
