Georgian Partnership Fund to sell its shares in Telasi energy distributor company

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11

Georgian Partnership Fund has decided to sell 24.5 percent of its shares of JSC Telasi energy distributor company, Trend reports citing Georgian media.

The fund has already announced an open auction to sell its shares.

The starting price for the public auction is $10.511 million. The amount of the lot is 50,000 lari ($16,308). The price recorded during the auction will be converted into USD at the exchange rate set by the National Bank on the day of the auction announcement.

Telasi was founded in 1937. In 1995, the company was registered as a joint stock company.

The public auction was announced on August 10, 2020, and it will be held on September 9 at the office of the Partnership Fund.

As reported, the winner of the auction will not be able to purchase shares without the consent of the Georgian Energy and Water Regulatory Commission in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Energy and Water Supply.
