Turkmenistan increases exports of petroleum products to EAEU

Turkmenistan exported 2,922 tons of petroleum products to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from January through May 2020, which is 4.8 times more than during the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission's statistics.

The petroleum products were exported to such EAEU countries as Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia for a total of $1.5 million, which is 3.9 times more than the amount of exported volume of petroleum products from Turkmenistan to the EAEU countries in the same period last year.

According to statistics, the share of Belarus in the amount of exported petroleum products from Turkmenistan is $45,205, while Kazakhstan's share is $976,434, and Russia's share – $485,203.

In addition, during the reporting period, Turkmenistan also exported to Russia petroleum coke and bitumen in the amount of 2,110 tons, totaling $872,805.

Furthermore, 30 tons of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine were imported to Russia from Turkmenistan for a total of $652,150.
