Iran enlarges value of exports from Malayer customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct.28

The exports of goods from the Malayer customs in the Hamadan Province (western Iran) increased by 6 percent in terms of value during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, an official of Malayer Customs Office, Nasser Torkashvand said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to Torkashvand, 14,800 tons of goods worth $16.6 million were exported to 25 countries via Malayer customs during this period.

He added that eighteen types of goods including raisins, dairy products, medical supplies, ferrosilicon and etc. were the main exported goods for over 6 months.

The official noted that 9,000 tons of raisins in various types worth $11.6 million were exported within six months.

“The raisins exports increased by 36 percent in terms of volume and 44 percent in terms of value during 6 months compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he said.

About 37,000 tons of goods worth $41 million were exported to 27 countries via the Malayer customs in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, to March 20, 2020).
