President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the business community of the Republic of Korea with an invitation to actively enter the Turkmen market, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
The president of the country said this during his speech at the International Forum on Northern Economic Cooperation.
Meanwhile, the head of state confirmed his readiness to provide maximum assistance to the work of Korean companies in Turkmenistan, as well as to create favorable conditions for them.
Korean companies LG and Hyundai have been working in the oil and gas and transport sectors of Turkmenistan's economy for many years.
Among the strategic projects completed with the participation of these and other companies of the Republic of Korea, the construction of a natural gas desulphurization plant in Turkmenistan and the construction of a gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene were noted. As an example, the installation and Advisory service of road safety systems, the creation of a stable supply system for automotive equipment produced by world-famous companies in a country were also cited.
The high level of bilateral trade, as well as the successful development of investment partnerships.
Earlier, Turkmenistan and South Korea identified steps to develop cooperation in the fields of investment, energy, textile industry, shipbuilding, and digital technologies.
