Iran’s exports through Markazi Province revealed

A total of 1.44 million tons of goods worth $709 million were exported through the customs of the Markazi Province of Iran during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020, through January 20, 2021), Director General of Markazi Province Customs Office, Esmaeil Hosseini said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

Hosseini noted that the exports decreased by 15 percent in terms of value and 7 percent in terms of volume over the 10 months, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“These goods were exported to 96 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and others,” he added.

The director-general stressed that the exported goods were mainly hydrocarbons, light, and heavy polyethylene, food products, and soft drinks, household appliances, rubber products, steel products, aluminum ingots, etc.

In addition, 123,000 tons of goods worth $341 million were imported to the Markazi Province within 10 months, according to him.

Hosseini said that the goods were imported from 46 countries, including China, Turkey, the UAE, India, Germany, and others.

The director-general emphasized that the imported goods were mainly clothing raw materials, equipment, and spare parts, packaging materials, food raw materials, steel wire, etc.
