Iran discloses data of iron, non-alloy steel exports

Iran exported 2.34 million tons of iron and non-alloy steel worth $940 million in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the statistics, the exports of iron and non-alloy steel increased by 6.63 percent in terms of value, while decreased by 0.99 percent in terms of volume compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020).

“The exports of these products accounted for 2.69 percent of Iran’s total exports in terms of value and 2.06 percent in terms of volume over the last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

While in the preceding Iranian year, Iran had exported 2.36 million tons of iron and non-alloy steel worth $882 million, the statistics said.

As reported, 10 products worth $13.7 billion accounted for 39 percent of Iran's total exports worth about $35 billion over last Iranian year.

Iran's total foreign trade turnover amounted to about 146 million tons worth $73 billion in the last Iranian year. During this period, Iran exported 112 million tons of goods worth about $35 billion and imported 33.4 million tons worth $38.4 billion.
