Iran's raw steel exports amounted to 6.16 million tons in total over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
According to the statistics, this is a decrease of 11 percent, compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020).
“In addition, Iran exported 2.84 million tons of steel products within the last Iranian year, which is a decrease of 18 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year,” the statistics said.
Moreover, Iran imported 897,000 tons of steel products during last Iranian year. This is an increase of 50 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year, the statistics said.

According to the report, Iran exported 843,000 tons of sponge iron last Iranian year. This is a decrease of 11 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, 942,000 tons of sponge iron were exported in Iran in the same period preceding Iranian year.
