Georgia increased the export of fruits and nuts by 68.8 percent - up to $59.4 million in the first half of 2021, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Office of Georgia.
The share of fruits and nuts in the total Georgian export amounted to 3.2 percent in the specified period.
In the first half of the year, Georgia exported hazelnuts for $34.14 million, apples for $5.41 million, tangerines for $4.71 million, peaches (including nectarines) for $3.13 million, dried fruits for $1.31 million, and almonds for $0.87 million.
From January through June 2020 Georgia exported fruits and nuts worth $35.18 million.
Their share in total exports amounted to 2.3 percent.
