The Dara Ashki gold mine in the Isfahan Province (central Iran) will be put into operation by the end of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Managing Director of Mouteh Gold Complex Alireza Talari said, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to Talari, the road to this mine is currently under construction. By the end of this month (August 22), the construction of this road is to be completed, and then the extraction of minerals from the mine will be launched.
The director added that thus, the number of mines in the Mouteh Gold Complex will increase from 2 to 3.
“The Dara Ashki gold mine contains about 130,000 tons of minerals. It is planned to extract 13,000 tons of minerals a year. With the launch of the Daraeshki gold mine, the gold reserves of the Mouteh Gold Complex will increase from 2.5 million tons to 3 million tons,” he said.
Talari noted that the 106 kg of gold bars were produced in the complex within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), which is a 3.5-percent decrease compared to the same period last Iranian year. It is planned to produce 300 kg of gold bars in the complex by the end of this year.
