Iran's exports via border terminals in Sistan & Baluchestan Province up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 29

Iran’s exports through the Milak and Mirjaveh border terminals in the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) increased by 26 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Deputy Director for the Road and Transport Department of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Teymour Bagheri said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

Bagheri said that a total of 1.08 million tons of goods were exported through the border terminals by 46,800 trucks in 8 months.

The deputy also pointed out 431,000 tons of goods were exported to Afghanistan through the Milak border terminal and 650,000 tons of goods to Pakistan through the Mirjaveh border terminal within the mentioned period.

“The main exported goods were liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), hydrocarbons, gasoline, diesel, and vegetables,” he added.

In addition, 168,000 tons of goods were imported to Iran from Pakistan through the Mirjaveh border terminal, and about 400,000 tons from Afghanistan through the Milak border terminal over 8 months, Bagheri noted.
