BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 11. Iran exported about 832,000 tons of watermelon worth approximately $182 million, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), Trend reports citing ISNA.
According to the report, Iran's watermelon exports for the reporting period increased by 2 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Over 10 months, Iran exported watermelon to 35 countries, including Iraq, Russia, Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye and other countries.
The most amount of watermelon - 392,000 tons worth $79.2 million were exported to Iraq, and 251,000 tons worth $51.4 million to the UAE in 10 months.
In general, Iran exported more than 103 million tons of non-oil products worth $45.3 billion within the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through January 20, 2023). This is an increase of 2.9 percent in value and 17 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
