BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. Iran’s Markazi Province exported non-oil goods worth about $663 million and weighing 1.08 million tons in the first seven months of this Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2023), Director General of Markazi Province Customs Office Alireza Sadeghi said, Trend reports.

Sadeghi noted that the main goods exported were various hydrocarbons, polyethylene, glassware, fruit juice, liquefied gas, chemicals, iron and steel ingots, and more.

The director general added that these products were shipped to 75 countries, with Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Türkiye being the main destinations.

Overall, Iran’s overall non-oil exports reached $28.3 billion in value and 79.5 million tons in volume in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2023). Compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, the value of non-oil exports decreased by 1 percent, while the volume increased by 29.3 percent.

Iran’s Markazi Province has over 2,800 industrial enterprises, of which 300 are involved in exporting products.
