BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. Iran has increased its non-oil exports to Kazakhstan by 7.32 percent in value in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), amounting to over $163 million, Trend reports.
However, the volume of exports decreased by 6.6 percent to 384,000 tons in the same period, according to data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Meanwhile, Iran’s non-oil exports to Kazakhstan stood at 411,000 tons worth over $152 million in the same period last year.
Over the past 10 months, Iran has mainly exported agricultural and food products, tobacco products, and petrochemical products to Kazakhstan.
In the tenth month alone (December 22, 2023 through January 20, 2024), Iran exported 30,700 tons of non-oil products worth $17.2 million to Kazakhstan.
IRICA’s latest data shows that Iran exported a total of 113 million tons of non-oil products valued at $40.5 billion in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024). This represents an 11 percent drop in value but a 9.4 percent rise in volume compared to the same period last year.
