Рђzerbaijan is interested in the operation of such enterprise as the Baku Steel Company, as a large number of the countrys citizens are employed there. However, the state cannot interfere actively into the work of the enterprise, as it contradicts the competition laws in the market, the Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan Heydar Babayev said.
There appeared some problems with the raw materials at the enterprise, at the result of which it stopped operating. However, the Baku Steel Company has some reserves of the raw materials which will enable it to continue its production work.
The talks with the company are going on over other issues as well. During the meeting with Heydar Babayev the Baku Steel Company president Paolo Parviz put forward his proposals. As the Minister noted, these proposals will be viewed and the decision on them will be taken, in particularly it refers to the cost of the raw materials.
