In 2006 the Baku Metro plans to transport 150m passengers, Trend reports quoting to Taghy Ahmadov, the head of the Baku Metro, as saying at a news conference on Friday.
According to Ahmadov, in 2005 the similar figure comprised 139m.
Annual passenger growth started from 2000 make up 10m.
Touching upon safety of passengers, Ahmadov said that they installed monitors in Metro in 1999 in this regard.
At present regulation of behavior of passengers in carriages is more expedient, but it is possible only in 2 from 35 trains, Ahmadov stressed.
