Full reconstruction of Shamkir-Gazah road shall complete by the end of 2007, Trend reports with reference to World Banks Baku office. The bank is financing the said project.
Such a delay is explained with new operations under the project, construction of road roundabout Tovuz and bridge crossing the river of same name. This project will be financed from WBs credit.
At the moment Azeri transport Ministry is selecting the project contractor. According to the contract, the project duration is 18 months. Earlier, the ministry prepared the feasibility study of the project.
By the end of the year, Azwirt-Azerkerpu-Azeragrotikinti alliance, the project general contractor, is completing 73km long Shamkir-Gazah highway.
This project is implemented at the cost of WBs credit issued on standard IDAs terms. The credit envisages reconstruction of Ganja-Gazah highway.
