Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Babayeva / The State Agency for Standardization and Patent of Azerbaijan will establish an Information Center and a Training Center. Ramiz Hasanov, Director of the Agency, said on 2 March that currently talks are being conducted with different donor organizations, including the German Society for Technical Assistance GTZ and Japanese TWINING project.
Technical assistance might be rendered to the establishment of a center. The Center will be established by the end of 2007, had of the Agency said.
The State Agency for Standardization and Patent of Azerbaijan was established at the presidential decree dated 27 December 2001. The Agency is central body of the executive power, which forms and pursues state policy in the sphere of standardization, metrology, certification and protection of industrial facilities.
