Azerbaijan, Baku 2 April / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / Azerenergy joint stock company has completed preparations of technical-economic feasibility of the project on construction of the electric station with Iran in the Ordubad region in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) of Azerbaijan, Marlen Askarov, the Vice President of the company, stated on 2 April. The project capacity of electric station is forecstaed on the 36 MWt rate.
The project provides construction of the two electric stations (in Azerbaijan and Iran) on the border Araks River in Ordubad region in NAR.
The water resources of the river will be utilized on parity basis. The station will be of diversion type.
