Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, Dec. 26 / Trend , R.Mashadihasanli / Uzbekistan states that the price for transported gas will make up $300 per 1,000 cu m in 2009, against $145 in 2008.
"If Uzbekistan will not stop increasing gas price, then Kyrgyzstan will reduce gas import volume," The Kyrgyzstan government said to Trend . Bishkek is prepared to cut the purchasing of Uzbek gas by 25% to 750mln cu m.
During the special visit of the Kyrgyz Economy and Energy Minister to Uzbekistan, in particular, the issues on the reduction of natural gas price will be touched upon.
In 2006 Uzbekistan sold gas per $55 per 1,000 cu m, and $100 per 1,000 cu m in 2007.
