SOCAR's Baku Deep Water Jacket Plant named after Heydar Aliyev (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) first launched the production of new kind of 2.5 millimeter in diameter electrodes (brand QE 51.01 type E 7018), the company said.
First, the plant produced over 6.7 tones of this kind of electrodes. Testing of new electrodes proved compalete conformity with the international standards. New electrodes will also be used while welding of large diameter pipelines.
The plant can produce to 2,000 tones of welding electrodes. The plant has produced 3.25, 4 and 5 millimeter in diameter electrodes to present day.
