Sumgayitelektrikshebeke JSC (distribution and sale of electricity in Sumgayit and Binagadi district of Baku) hast not yet halted electricity transmission to enterprises of the Azersu JSC (distribution of drinking and household water in Azerbaijan) due to accumulated debts receivables for used electricity worth 48 million manats, Sumgayitelektrikshebeke JSC Press Secretary Anar Guliyev said on May 13.
"At present, the enterprises are negotiating on this issue. Energy supply to Azersu has not yet halted," Guliyev said.
Power supply to the Azerbaijani water distributor should be halted at 15:00 Baku time on May 13.
Earlier Guliyev said that Azersu's debts hits one million manat for several months.
Despite numerous warnings, Azersu does not pay its debts, and JSC is also not fully paid for electricity this year, Guliyev said.
