Operations on restoration of plots at Azerbaijani onshore oil fields continue

Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri CJSC (engineering service) transported 31,000 tons of oil mud from fields of Salyan Oil Company that develops Kursengi and Garabagli fields from February till late May, CJSC said.

Roughly 50,000 cubic meters of soil and 14,100 cubic meters of polluted waters were transported by CJSC from field plots within this period.

CJSC continued operations on mechanical restoration at project plots in May.

The contract on restoration of plots was signed between Ekol CJSC and Salyan Oil on December 25, 2008.

According to preliminary research, roughly 40,000 cubic meters of mud was gathered at these fields. Realization of the project was launched in January 2009 and complete by late 2009. 

Major goal of this project realization is to improve ecological state of these areas, economic potentialities of the enterprise in terms of the world financial crisis and expand cooperation with new partners of CJSC and

Salyan Oil Company plans to drill four exploitation wells at developed fields in 2009.
