The establishment of a study dealing with the waste management systems and the modernization of SOCAR's recycling center located in the Garadagh region will be completed in 2010, Mukhtar Babayev, SOCAR ecology vice president, said at a news conference today.
"The process of selecting a contractor for the preparation of feasibility studies should be completed by late 2010," he said.
The U.S. Trade Development Agency (USTDA) has provided a $572,000 grant to Azerbaijan for the preparation of a study on the construction of a waste recycling center.
