Azerbaijan, Baku, July 3 / Trend E. Ismayilov /

The U.S company Chevron is the operator developing field Tengiz in Kazakhstan. It has reduced the volume of oil transportation by the ships of the Azerbaijan State Caspian Shipping Company, the company head Aydin Bashirov said.

Chevron's monthly oil transportation reduced by 100,000 tons from 250,000-300,000 tons.

"Perhaps this is connected with the lack of agreement between shippers and buyers or the general situation in Iran", Bashirov said.

Chevron transports its oil from Kazakhstan via the railway route in the corridor Azerbaijan-Georgia to the Black Sea ports. Previously, the company transported its oil via the Baku - Tbilisi - Ceyhan oil pipeline, however, because of the lack of agreement on tariffs, transportation of raw materials on this route was ceased.
