BP exceeds planned volumes of associated gas delivered to SOCAR in 2010

Last year, the British BP, which is the operator of the development of the block of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, delivered 3.4 billion cubic meters of associated gas to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), BP report says.
The associated gas is delivered to SOCAR free of charge within the development of the ACG.
According to the report, in total it was planned to deliver 1.9 billion cubic meters of associated gas to SOCAR from the ACG in 2010.
During the year BP delivered around 9.4 million cubic metres of associated gas per day to SOCAR.
In 2009 SOCAR received about four billion cubic meters of gas compared to the planned 1.45 billion cubic meters.

Participants of the project to develop Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli are: BP (operator - 37.43 percent), Chevron (11.27 percent), SOCAR (10 percent), INPEX (10.96 percent), Statoil (8.56 percent), Exxon (8 percent), TPAO (6.75 percent), Itochu (4.3 percent), Hess (2.72 percent).
