A new fire complex was commissioned at the Turkmenbashi refinery, the Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry said.
The complex was built in accordance with the strict design standards. It covers an area of
about 20,000 square meters.
The report said that there is a two-story building-depot with five boxes on the first floor for
fire equipment and the modern infrastructure to ensure effective protection of the south-western section of the company.
This refinery was reconstructed to the amount of $1.6 billion with the participation of foreign
companies. About 2.893.400 tons of crude oil were processed from January to May 2011.
