Iran injects 30 mcm gas per day to Aghajari oil reserves

Iran currently inject 30 million cubic meters of gas per day to Aghajari oil reserve and the Oil Ministry plans to increase gas stations' capacities to inject 56 mcm gas per day, IRNA reported quoting Managing Director of National Iranian South Oil Company Hormuz Ghalavand as saying.

"The injection of gas to oil fields are amongst the priorities of National Iranian South Oil Company and the injected gas to Aghajari oil reserve is provided from South Pars gas filed through 500 kilometers length pipeline," he said.

The process of gas injection to Aghajari oil field will increase of oil production by 200,000 bpd and enhanced recycle oil from Asmari oil reserve to minimum 2 billion barrels.

The National Iranian South Oil Company produces 3.250 billion barrels of oil per day from southern oil fields, part of production transfers to Khark Island for export and the rest transfer to refinery units.
