SOCAR finalizes implementation of major ecological project
Azerbaijan, Baku, July 20 /Trend /
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan completes an ecological park project in the Khazar district in Baku, SOCAR's Ecology Department commented in its statement on Monday.
After completing a project on rehabilitating oil-polluted areas of the park, endemic, rare, relict and endangered plants have been planted.
Some 40 percent of the park's electricity will come from alternative energy sources. Electricity will be generated from four wind generators, each with a capacity of 10 kilowatt-hours, and solar panels with a total capacity of 20 kilowatt-hours, which have been installed in the park.
The total electricity to be generated at the expense of alternative energy sources is 60 kilowatt-hours.
Seedlings will be planted throughout the park to meet the needs of structural units. The ecological park is created along an area of 9.3 hectares.
