In January-June Shahdag power plant generated about 123.1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity compared to the forecasted 119.5 million kilowatt hours, Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan) said.
Shahdag power plant plays an important role in power supply of Azerbaijan's northern region.
The power plant with capacity of 105 megawatt consists of 12 units with capacity of 8.7 megawatt each. It also aims to supply electricity to the Shahdag winter and summer tourist complex, where four transformers with total capacity of 160 megavolt-amperes are installed.
