SOCAR should receive the ratings of leading rating agencies to improve its international image, SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullaev said in an interview the with AzTV state television on Monday.
He made the statement while answering a question about SOCAR's "BB" from Standard and Poor's.
SOCAR also has ratings from Moody's and Fitch.
He said that getting ratings from international agencies indicates SOCAR's reliability.
"It also has a positive impact on our international business," SOCAR head said.
Abdullaev said that SOCAR should obtain necessary ratings because it operates not only in Azerbaijan but also implements a number of international projects.
