Iran increases gas production from South Pars

Iran has increased gas production by boosting the production capacity of the platform of South Pars' Phase 1, Mehr News reported on Sunday.

Iranian South Pars' gas production amount increased to 285 million cubic meters per day.

Iran produces 28.3 million cubic meters of gas from two platforms with 12 wells at South Pars' Phase 1.

Iran produces 112 million cubic meters of gas from Phases 2,3,4,5 totally, alongside 75 million cubic meters of gas from Phases 6, 7 and 8 altogether.

The Phases 9 and 10 of South Pars have been partially launched. Each of them produces 20-25 million cubic meters of sour gas.

The South Pars gas field is shared by Iran and Qatar. The Iranian share, which is divided into 29 phases, has about 14 trillion cubic meters of gas, or about 8 percent of the total world reserves.
