Turkmenistan auctioned about 480,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.
The country put as stock trades about 150,000 tons of gasoline, 150,000 tons of diesel fuel, 20,000 tons of oil coke, 10,000 tons of furnace oil, 60,000 tons of fuel oil, 30,000 tons of straight-run gasoline and about 60,000 tons of liquefied gas.
Some 40 deals were registered at the Turkmen State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.
Companies from Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, Russia, the Netherlands and Afghanistan purchased hydrotreated diesel fuel, polypropylene, gasoline and base oil. Total amount of contracts, including on sale of oil products exceeds $39 million.
The representatives from Azerbaijan, China, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Iran and other countries are the traditional participants of the auction.
The Commodity Exchange is a principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
