SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) has undertaken some works on reconstruction of power sector of the plant aimed at ensuring the Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev with uninterrupted power supply, SOCAR informed on Tuesday.
According to the report, in particular, work was done on reconstruction and replacement of power lines, as well as of necessary equipment.
The old equipment at "204N"substantion, service life of which has expired, was also replaced.
Oil products are produced at two Baku refineries with capacity of 16 million tons of oil a year.
Both refineries belong to SOCAR, which annually processes approximately seven million tons of oil from onshore and offshore fields at its own expense.
Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev specializes in production of light petroleum products.
