Kazakhstan’s gas export decreases in January-March

The volume of gas exports in Kazakhstan amounted to 2.488 billion cubic meters in January-March, 2013 compared to 2.666 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2012, the national dispatch center of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.

In March, 2013, gas exports in the country amounted to 963 million cubic meters compared to 939 million cubic meters in the same month of last year. Thus, in March, 2013, exports of gas in the country amounted to 25.4 percent under production of 3.791 billion cubic meters.

Imports of gas in the country in January-March, 2013 amounted to 805 million cubic meters compared to 738 million cubic meters during the same period of 2012. In March 2013, imports of natural gas in the country amounted to 282 million cubic meters, which is 2.2 percent less than the previous month and 0.7 percent more than in March, 2012.
