State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced nearly 7.31 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013 compared to 7.46 billion cubic meters in 2012, a message posted on the official website of SOCAR said on Jan.21.
Around 30.78 billion cubic meters of gas was produced in the country in 2013 compared to 29 billion cubic meters in 2012, according to SOCAR.
SOCAR includes Azneft (companies producing oil and gas on land and sea), Azerkimya (chemical industry), Azerigas (gas distribution) production associations. The State Oil Company also includes a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises, institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling activities.
