The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 5.76 b c m of gas from Jan.-Oct. 2015 compared to 6.1 billion in the same period in 2014, SOCAR said Nov. 24.
SOCAR produced 7.22 b c m of gas in 2014, compared to 7.31 b c m in 2013.
Jointly with foreign investors, SOCAR develops the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of oil and gas fields and Shah Deniz gas and condensate field.
In total, 24.07 b c m of gas were produced from these fields and the independently developed fields from Jan.-Oct. 2015 compared to 25.41 billion in the same period in 2014.
The volume of gas production in Azerbaijan totaled 29.62 b c m in 2014, compared to 30.78 b c m in 2013.
SOCAR is the sole producer of oil products in Azerbaijan. It has two oil refineries and filling stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.
The company includes production associations Azneft (the enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerkimya (the chemical industry enterprises) and Azerigaz.
SOCAR also has a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises, and institutions involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
