US oil prices slightly up on Oct. 13

The average price of North American crude on October 13 was $49.85 per barrel, or $0.34 more than on October 12, a source in the oil and gas market told Trend.

The average price of North American crude on October 13 was $49.85 per barrel, or $0.34 more than on October 12, a source in the oil and gas market told Trend.

The spot price for WTI, produced in Texas, the US, rose on Oct. 13 by $0.33 to stand at $50.47 per barrel. WTI is mainly used to produce gasoline and therefore the demand for it is high, particularly in the US and China.

The price for WTS (Midland) oil was $50 per barrel on Oct. 13, or $0.41 more than the previous price.

The cost of LLS light oil was $52.02 per barrel on Oct. 13, or $0.35 more than the previous price.

The price of a barrel of Mars oil on Oct. 13 was $47.7, or $0.46 more than the previous price, while the price of Bakken oil amounted to $49.07 per barrel, which is $0.15 more than on Oct. 12.

The price of November futures for Nymex Light Sweet on Oct. 13 was $50.44 per barrel, or $0.26 more than the previous figure.
