By Huseyn Hasanov– Trend:
Turkmenistan exported 795,500 tons of fuel oil in 2017, which is 39.6 percent more than in 2016, Nebit-Gaz, an online newspaper, reported.
Production of fuel oil at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) in 2017 amounted to 699,000 tons, having increased by 20.2 percent.
A large share of fuel oil exports last year accounted for the unsold remainders of this fuel, the volume of which decreased by 76.3 percent and amounted to 25,800 tons. Considering that the products remaining from oil refining can be used for further refining, TCOR actively increases processing depth of raw materials, modernizes and creates new technological units.
“As a result, fuel oil, the production of which in Turkmenistan is increasing every year, will eventually become the raw material for the output of various types of oil products with high added value,” said the report.
