American Honeywell UOP and AFW UK discussed the scope of work, procedure for developing and providing the initial data necessary to design process facilities, the timing of preparation of project documentation for construction of processing units of the in the Jizzakh Oil Refinery Complex in Uzbekistan, Uzbek media reported on June 29.
The corresponding discussions were held in Tashkent on June 20-21 within the framework of a meeting between specialists of foreign companies.
During the meeting, the sides discussed mechanisms for implementing the tasks outlined in the presidential decree of May 24, 2018 “On measures to further deepen and expand cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United States”, where this investment project is shown as one of the priorities.
American Honeywell UOP is the main licensor of technology.
According to experts, launch of the Jizzakh refinery will be an important step in further development of the country's oil and gas industry.
