The volume of production of the super gasoline ranges mostly between 2-3 million liters per day, Manager for Projects of Iran’s Shazand Oil Refinery Company, engineer Ali Shahverdi said in an interview with ILNA news agency.
He noted that currently, the Shazand refinery produces 17 million liters of gasoline of Euro-4 grade every day.
Shahverdi, speaking about the suspension of production of gasoline of super grade in summer of the current year (starting from March 21, 2018), said due to the high-level of consumption of gasoline and the demand for gasoline, the volume of super grade production decreased, and the gasoline of Euro4 grade was produced instead of it.
Of course, these grades of gasoline don’t differ that much in terms of quality, he said.
Shahverdi added that as for the impact of the US sanctions on the process of production of gasoline, some required raw materials are imported.
“The major part of our imports originated from Europe and China. Currently, the production of the imported raw materials have been localized on the grounds of the European quality standards and our local raw materials are able to compete,” he noted.
